Yes, you can send/receive mail here. |
- How can I retrieve my mail?
You have 2 ways:
1. Retrieve (get) your mail using an email client (a software like Outlook or Netscape), settings should be:
POP Server: mail.your_domain.com
SMTP Server: provided by your local SMTP (if you need one please upgrade to the advanced mailbox, Contact Us)
username: full email address
password: specified by you when you create the mailbox.

- How can I send mail?
You have 3 options to send mail:
1. Use our webmail interface, no settings required, it's ready to send/receive mail as soon as mailbox is created.
2. Use the SMTP server of your local ISP (Internet Service Provider) to send mail through your mail agent or upgrade your mailbox to the 'advanced mailbox' that gives you an SMTP server, to do this upgrade Contact Us.
3. Use one of our ready-to-use simple form2mail solutions, you can find more than one of them based on ASP and iHTML and more, to get one please Contact Us. |
- Do you provide Email Virus Scanning and Spam Filters?
You can upgrade any email account to the 'advanced' email which gives you the following:
- 100MB email space.
- Unique SMTP server.
- Spam Filtering.
- Email Virus Scanning.
- Unique control panel for Mailbox.

- Can I forward an email account to another?
Yes you can do that, you can have any mail sent to a certain account forwarded to any other valid email account, also you can choose to keep a copy of the email on our servers or not, this can be done at MyHoster. |
- Can I change my MX records?
No, this platform doesn't support MX record change, However, our Linux Plans support that. |
- I am unable to send EMail, What can I do?
In order to send email through our servers you must authorize yourself to do so. To do this you must checking incoming email first. If you are using Outlook or Outlook Express you can go to Tools > Accounts... > Mail (tab at the top of the new window) > Double click on the email account you set up > Click on Servers (tab at the top of the new window) > put a check in the box that says 'My server requires authentication', If this does not work it is possible that your ISP is blocking outside email servers so that you must use their outgoing email servers. This is done by the ISP in an error to block SPAM, MindSpring and AT&T are known to be some ISPs which do this. If your ISP does block outgoing email servers you can use the Web Mail feature in your cpanel to send/receive email. |
- Do you offer 'Catch All Mail' option?
If you forgot a password to a regular E-mail account you can request resetting it to another password of your choice, this can be done at the Help Desk

- What is your policy against SPAM?
Win2000Hoster.com does NOT allow customers to send out UCE or SPAM. We have a zero tolerance policy on SPAM.
